Obituary

Annie D. Williams Abrams ,Carolyn was born January 25, 1923 in Wisner, Louisana to Manuel and Amelia Agnes Willett Williams. She was the seventh of 15 children, six boys and nine girls. Annie was educated in Wisner, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Chicago, Illinois. She married James Abrams in 1963. Together, they successfully owned and operated a grocery store on the southside of Chicago. Annie recieved Jesus Christ at an early age and was member of Olivet Baptist Church and Ebenezer Baptist Church, both in Chicago. In her later years, she moved to Lansing, Michigan, where she was a member of the Lansing Church of God In Christ. She was a faithful member and enjoyed the experience of knowing Christian Love . Later, she united with Mount Olive Bible Believing Baptist Church. Annie was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Richard, Severa, Roy, Reverend Curtis, and Reverend J. Irvin Williams; sisters, Bernice Williams, Rosie Drumgole, Gracie Briggs, Justine Carr, and Edith Beard. Annie went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2012. She leaves to celebrate her life: her daughter, Reverend Eloise (Lloyd) Blackman; six grandchildren, Reverend Ivan Jackson, Reverend Constance Jackson, Kevin Jackson, Reverend Evelyn Turner, Lloyd Blackman, Jr., and Anthony Blackman; 24 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Louise Williamson of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Vertile Hubbard of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Margaret Nelson of Los Angeles, California; sisters-in-law, Bessey Williams and Verlee Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
