Obituary

Annie Austin Kinley, Maude was born in Athens Georgia to John Thomas and Sarah Austin Byrd on November 23, 1922. She moved to Lansing in 1940 and accepted christ at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She retired from Cunningham Drug Store and the Michigan State University students loved her. Annie loved sports, especially M. S. U. football and basketball. Annie was preceded in death by: her husband, Hercel B. Kinley; grandsons, Rickey and Donald Austin; granddaughter, Tamara Austin; and her parents. At the age of 91, Annie Austin Kinley passed away February 3, 2014 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing. She leaves to a cherish her memory: her son, Arthur L. Austin, Sr.; daughters, Barbara King and Janice Kinley, both of Lansing, and Valarie (Steve) Milligan of Deerfield Beach, Florida; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, James (Ruth) Keyton; sister, Sarah Nick of Lansing; very special cousin, Chylene (Joe) Barkley; spcial family friend, Karen Dunckel of Lansing; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mrs. Kinley will lie in repose Sunday, February 9 from 11am-3pm, at the Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St. Joseph, Lansing. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 10 at 12pm. at the funeral home.
