Age 87, our beloved mother, grandma and great grandma went to her heavenly home on August 30, 2023 at Hospice of Charlotte (North Carolina). Born May 21, 1936 in New Westminster, B.C., Canada. Ann grew up in Minnesota where she attended Twin Valley High School. She met her husband Jack in Fargo, North Dakota. They were married on October 15th 1955. The couple moved to Michigan where they raised three children, Mark, Kris and John. Ann held several office administrative roles over the years, and co-owned and operated Darrah Shoes with her husband in Battle Creek, MI.

Ann enjoyed spending time with family and friends, singing and playing the piano. She especially enjoyed being a Grandma and treasured time with her grandsons whom she adored.

Surviving are: her 3 children, Kris (Mike) Redford, Mark Darrah, and John Darrah (Rusty Hubbart); 3 grandsons and their spouses, Dan (Kayla) Redford, Brad (Christy) Redford, and Kent (Selina) Redford; sisters, Grace (Darrol) Nichols, Elsie Torgerson; and brother, Gordy (Cherie) Torgerson; great granddaughter, Noelle Redford; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Ann was preceded in death by: her husband, Jack Darrah; her parents, Einar and Esther Torgerson; brothers, Iver, John and Walter Torgerson.
