It is with great sadness that the family of Alvin Timothy Underwood announces his passing.

Alvin, 67, originally of East Lansing, Michigan, peacefully passed away on February 29, 2024, at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento, California. He was born on February 27, 1957, in Lansing, Michigan.

Among Alvin's dearest accomplishments was his service as a Cub Scout, running track during his high school years, and his sense of fashion derived from working in retail. He later developed an interest in culinary arts and had a deep appreciation for music. Alvin liked an adventure which is what brought him to Sacramento, California approximately seven months ago.

He is survived by: his father, Dr. Clarence Underwood, Jr.; sister, Jacqueline Underwood; brother, David (Cheryl) Underwood; niece, Morgan Underwood; nephews, Parker Underwood and Blake Underwood; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Alvin was preceded in death by: his loving mother, Noreese Underwood.

Alvin attended Lansing Community College after graduating from East Lansing High School.
