Albert Preston Foreman was born on January 23, 1947 in Frenchman Bayou, Arkansas to Preston and Erma Lee Foreman. He was the second eldest of eight children. He confessed his faith in Christ at an early age. He was preceded in death by: his parents; and his son, Albert P. Foreman, Jr.

Albert, affectionately known as "Al" by his family and friends, attended Carver High School in Luxora, Arkansas. He relocated to Forida in 1965 and later moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1968. He was married for a brief time to Pearlie Mae Porter in 1967. He did construction work for years, specializing in cement finishing. A man of many talents, Al was a jack of all trades.

Al married Barbara Coates in 1991. They enjoyed traveling, going up north and playing with their family dogs. Al loved to hunt, fish, and restore cars. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a caring man who looked after his mother and his sisters and was always supportive of our youth. He believed in supporting the young people and always contributed to the Lillie Brown/Lay Pierce scholarship.

Al was well liked by his friends and all who he came in contact with. His smile and laugh was infectious and made you feel good. He was a devoted husband and will be truly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Barbara; brothers, Andrew (Peggy) Flint, Sr., of Memphis, Tennessee, David (Annie) Foreman, Willie (Mary) Foreman, and Roosevelt Foreman, all of Lansing, Michigan; sisters, Luella Pierce, Erma Jean Charles, and Ruby (Edward) Brown, all of Lansing, Michigan; god-daughter, Layisha Pierce of Lansing, Michigan; aunt, Josephine Woodson, of Memphis Tennessee; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family members and friends.
