Age 58, was born August 3, 1953 and passed away June 8, 2012. He was a graduate of J. W. Sexton High School, 1971 and Michigan State University, 1975. Kevin was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He spent his working years helping the community with organizations like Neighborhood Youth Parent Prevention Program and Highfields. He was an avid musician and enjoyed playing and listening to music. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy J. Wilson. He leaves to cherish his memory: his 2 children, Kevin D. Wilson, Jr. (Katie Harr, fiancé’) and Tashia (John R.) Gibbs, both of Lansing; father, Rudolph V. Wilson; sister, Claudia J. (Matthew) Davis of St. Louis, MO; aunt, Ruth H. Burton of Lansing; nieces, Mariama Davis of St. Louis and Malene (Bryan) Davis of Atlanta, GA; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service honoring his life will be held Tuesday, June 12, 1 pm at Trinity A.M.E. Church, 3500 W. Holmes Rd. with Rev. Lila R. Martin, officiating. The family will receive friends at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association of Lansing, 427 W. Barnes Ave., Lansing.
